Dr. Ogawa offers an array of cosmetic dentistry procedures and treatments to improve your smile. Whiten your teeth with one of our Zoom!2® Teeth Whitening treatments, or restore chips, fractures, or stains with a porcelain veneer! Large spaces between the teeth, and teeth with minor misalignment, can also be corrected by a porcelain veneer and a dental bonding procedure.
Dental Implants
Dentures are becoming a thing of the past as new technology has made way for dental implants. Implants are titanium posts that are surgically planted and integrated to the jawbone. After the post attachment is given time to heal and fuse to the jawbone, a crown is added. Your restored teeth should look, feel and function like natural teeth. Dental implants can improve your speech and help with chewing, not to mention they look great! Since this is a surgical procedure, find out if you’re eligible for dental implants by contacting our offices for an initial evaluation.
Veneers
Stained, chipped, fractured, and even misaligned teeth can be remedied with porcelain veneers. Veneers are bonded directly to the surface of the tooth, and tinted to color-match the rest of your teeth. After preparation, an impression of your teeth is made, and then the veneer is custom-fit to cover the damaged area of the tooth. And, if taken care of, veneers can last a long time. Porcelain veneers offer you a brand new chance to considerably improve your teeth aesthetic, and to have a brilliant smile!
Zoom!® and Zoom!2® Teeth Whitening
Brightening your smile with amazing results can be done in about an hour with the Zoom!® Teeth Whitening system. You can take off years of discoloration caused by tobacco use, red wine, coffee, and tea-drinking by having your teeth bleached with this highly effective treatment. The Zoom!® procedure begins with a simple gel-coating applied to the surface of your teeth, followed by exposure to a special heating lamp. The result: teeth up to eight shades lighter in about an hour! Patients with certain periodontal problems may not be candidates for Zoom!®, but there are other options that Dr. Ogawa can go over with you, including at-home teeth whitening kits available right here in our office.
Porcelain Crowns
A decayed, badly damaged, or simply discolored tooth can be completely covered with a porcelain crown. Unlike veneers, crowns cover the entire tooth, not just the damaged area. A crown can alleviate the pain and lost function associated with damaged teeth, and they can also be used to hold dental bridges in place. Plus, porcelain crowns do not have a metal substructure, so the crown will look very natural and never show the ugly, black metallic ring at the gum line. With proper dental hygiene, a crown can last decades, giving way to a healthier bite and a happier smile.
Tooth-Colored Fillings
Say goodbye to the silver-tooth smile! Traditional metal fillings are becoming a thing of the past with the new tooth-colored, composite filling treatment. These fillings are made of composite resin that bond to your teeth with a strong adhesive. And best of all, they're color-matched to the rest of your teeth, so you may not even notice them at all. In addition to being aesthetically pleasing, tooth-colored fillings can also act as warriors against further injury and damage to your teeth.
Laser Gum Treatment
The next generation of dental technology is here. Laser dentistry is becoming more and more common to treat a host of periodontal problems and other dental issues. Laser gum treatment involves using a small beam of laser light to re-shape the gum line or to attend to the periodontal pocket reduction. Dr. Ogawa uses the Diodent™II Dental Laser system, which is generally less painful and quicker to heal than traditional methods. For periodontal care, laser gum treatment is the wave of the future, and the future is now!
